See you there!! 

The first time I knew I HAD to have the nestabilities was when I saw this beautiful card on Nichole’s blog .  I Love the embossing capabilities with them- of course now I want them ALL!!  LOL   They are worth every penny!!

This card was super simple to make. First I embossed the front of the card with the rectangle nestabilities- then did my stamping, cut a small slit in the groove with my craft knife for the ribbon and it was finished!    I love it when I can get a quick card finished when I don’t have a long time to play. 

Supplies:  Stamps:  My punny valentine (PTI).  CS:  Stamper’s select White (PTI).  Ink:  Berry sorbet and spring moss.  Accessories:  Black polka dot ribbon and Nestabilities. 

This is the third and final design for the Stamp a stack.  I wanted something simple but pretty which is so easy with the summer picnic DSP!  I love the silk flowers from the pretties kit (customers just used the brad since I didn’t have enough flowers).   It is so easy to color them- I colored the edge of the flowers with a bashful blue marker then took the aqua painter and blended toward the center- I can’t wait to do this again with the larger flower but I think I nee another prettied kit   mine is getting low.

Supplies:  CS:  Old olive, white, Summer Picnic DSP, Bashful blue.  Stamps:  Full of life.  Accessories:  Rhinestone brads and old olive wide grosgrain ribbon.

Boy was I happy when I checked the featured stamper challenge on SCS this morning featuring Kharmagirl!!  For the featured stamper challenge you pick a card from the featured stamper and CASE it changing two or more things.  Here is the card I cased.  I pretty much changed everything but the layout but still a case!!  

I probably should have titled this post “these are a few of my favorite things” since this card is featuring a lot of them!     Swiss dots, Hey there cupcake, stickles, and Pink patterns paper!!!  Yummmmmy!!  

Supplies:  Stamps:  Paper tray (PTI), Hey there Cupcake (Stampendous).  Paper: White, Berry sorbet, Spring Moss, Sweet Blush, Pink Patterns DSP.  Accessories:  Nestabilities, Stickles, swiss dots embossing folder, and rhinestone brads.

Here is another card for my Stamp-a-stack.  I loved these colors together from a previous challenge and I think it looks good with this heart from the stamp set Always.  I stamped the heart using stazon ink and then did a small outline around the inside edge of the image with the lavender lace wwc, then  blended toward the center using the aqua brush.  I then took my rose red marker and colored in little parts to add a little more color.

All supplies are SU:  Stamps:  Always and sincere salutations. CS: Lavender lace, rose red, basic black, and ww.  Accessories: aqua brush, wwc, rose red marker, mat pack and paper piercer. 

Here is another card using Tart and tangy- I hope you aren’t getting too sick of seeing this set being used.  This is one of the cards we are going to make at my Stamp-a-stack tomorrow.  It is a standard gate fold card that is super easy with the scor-pal, the measurements are already marked for you!!  In case you are not lucky enought to own a scor-pal here are the measurements instead of scoring at the 4 1/4 you score at  2 1/8 and 6 3/8″.   This card is simple because of the use of punches and markers.

All supplies are SU:   Stamp set: Tart and tangy and sweet shapes for sentiment.  CS: Wild Wasabi, Real red, whisper white, and summer picnic DSP.  Accessories:  Double stitched wasabi ribbon, Real red and old olive markers, DD glitter, Circle punch and scallop circle punch

When I first saw Tart & Tangy set in the occasions mini I didn’t really think much of it and didn’t think it would be a set that would be very easy to work with but I was wrong- it is SO easy to put together a card and it will be so cute on a SB page!!  While preparing for my stamp-a-stack I wanted to make several examples from the mini and this is one I came up with, so I thought I would share.  The summer picnic DSP is soooo Yummy!! 

First I layed down my real red rectangle (4 1/4 X 3 3/8) then I layered the DSP of different lengths, added the ribbon,  and made my real red scallops using the slit punch.  I colored the cherries with my markers stamped and voila!  Done!  I love the cards that just come together on their own!  The bottom of the red rectangle looked a little bare to me so I added some piercing- it seems if a card is lacking something just add glitter or piercing   Of course sometimes I need to do both. LOL

Supplies: Stamp sets:  Tart & Tangy and  full of life.   Cardstock:  Wild Wasabi, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, Whisper white, and Summer picnic DSP.  Accessories:  Circle punch, scallop circle punch, slit punch, real red grosgrain ribbon, Real red and old olive markers.

This card is for the Mojo Sketch challenge for this week.  I just LOVE this little squirrel!!  Isn’t he adorable??  I am preparing for my SAS so I am busy doing that but I had to sneak in a little challenge.  Have you seen the color challenge on SCS yet??  OMG!!  It WILL be a challenge if I can ever get brave enough to try it!  The colors are: Glorious green (yuck), Real red, and night of Navy.  Well those talented girls on SCS know what they are doing so I may have to try this challenge but I know will take some time for this one- LOL

As you can see I received my happy mail yesterday!!!  Swiss dots is so beautiful I have only used it once but I know it will be my fav!!  For those of you that have visited before you probably noticed I changed things on the blog, I am trying to unclutter things and make it easier to navigate.  What do you think?? 

 Well the weather here is gorgeous and I am really enjoying going out without a coat or jacket!!  I feel so FREE, LOL!  The girls and I had a fun afternoon of cruising the mall today and catching some good sales.  Such a wondeful day, I even managed to sneak in some stamping time

For the card, I used the  emboss resist technique with the images.  First I stamped the small flowers in Sweet Blush on PTI white cs and then stamped my larger flower in Versamark ink and heat embossed using clear EP.  I then sponged Berry sorbet ink all over the white cardstock and embossed flowers- took a tissue and wiped away the excess ink on the EP and then added bling.

OMG!!  My tulips are blooming!!  Such a beautiful and bright yellow, I love it!!  My Magnolia tree is also in the early stages of starting to bloom, lets just cross our fingers it doesn’t decide to get cold again like it did last year and all the flowers died ;(   We also have three ducks in our yard, it is too funny they come every spring or so and just hang out for a while, the kids love it. 

I was working on a scrapbook page with my Summer Days simply scrappin’ kit and had some leftover pieces so instead of adding them to my rather large scrap pile, I decided to use them on a card!  Not sure if I like it but I am happy that I used my scraps and got a thank you card finished that is long overdue!  The layout is Beate’s sketch from her blog. 

I have been seeing a lot of cards lately using white and so I thought I would give it a shot.  I can’t wait to try it using the Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder hopefully I will get that happy mail today .  I have also been adding white in my SB pages more lately, I think simplifying right now is what is driving me.
