Summer Days SB Page

I thought it was going to be hard finding paper that would match the greens in these pictures but thankfully the Summer Days SS Kit had the beautiful papers that I think work well together and it came together fast which is an added bonus!  I love these pictures of Grandpa giving the kids a ride, the simple joys in life are sometimes the best!

Supplies:  CS:  12×12 Bazzill white, Real red, Wild wasabi textured, and DSP from Summer days SS kit.  Accessories:  Wide red grosgrain ribbon, SU Rub-ons for title, Die cut strips are from the kit as well.

Sketch Challenge#170

apple_blog.jpg

The  sketch challenge this week on SCS was so hard for me to do, I just wanted to leave the panel on the right off the card!!   It just wasn’t flowing for me but I finally got one that is ok.   I combined three of the challenges on this card:  Sketch, Ways to use it, and Technique challenge .

All supplies are Stampin’ Up.  Stamp set:  Tart & Tangy.  CS:  Summer picnic DSP, bashful blue, real red, and whisper white.  Accessories: Blue striped grosgrain ribbon, Die cut Blooms, Love and Happiness rub-ons for sentiment and dots, DD Glitter, 1 1/4 inch circle punch, and 1 3/8 circle punch.

Hey there Cupcake!

heycupcakeblog.jpg

Do you ever have those sets that you want so bad,  then you finally get it and you have a stamper’s block????  Well that is what has been happening to me this week, I have been wanting this set for such a long time and finally received it and just couldn’t get a card together that I liked.   I am pretty happy with this one, although I must say the taller cupcake should be in the center but not worth redoing the whole thing.  I started off trying to do SCS sketch challenge for this week but just wasn’t feeling it yet, so this one just pulled itself together.  Ok sorry for the blabbering….

Supplies used:  CS:  Berry Sorbet, pink patterns paper, sweet blush, white cs (PTI), and chocolate chip.  Stamp set:  Hey There cupcake from Stampendous.  Accessories:  Star dust stickles, liquid applique, slit punch, and sweet blush polka dot ribbon (PTI).  Ink:  Sweet blush, berry sorbet, burnt umber (Pallete), and Regal Rose.

Nightly Routine

openwide.jpg

Journaling reads:  “Our nightly routine consists of the nightly check of teeth, the kids say, “Am I done?” Then open wide so they can get the ok that they are done brushing their teeth.  After “the check” we read a book, give kisses and hugs and argue about who love who the most (Of course, I love YOU more!), then it’s light out.”

I don’t normally take pictures of these occassions but I had the camera out for something else and they thought it would be funny to take pics of them opening wide!!  They make me laugh!  It was such a fun thing to SB about.  I also got to use the WordArt feature in Word and that is always fun.  I am still trying to decide if I am going to color in the Routine above the journaling or not.

Supplies:  Tempting turquoise, whisper white, Regal Rose, and Petal and Paisleys DSP.  Accessories:  Flirty ribbon, Corner rounder, computer fonts, thickers, and slit punch for scalloped edge.

Wonderful You

I borrowed this layout from the catalog on pg. 91. While waiting at my Orthodontist yesterday I was looking through a magazine and there were so many beautiful color combos in it!!  There are several I am going to borrow the combos from on this one magazine alone. This color combo was from an outfit featured in All You magazine.

Supplies:  Stamp set:  Wonderful You.  CS:  Old Olive, Cameo coral, and whisper white.  Ink:  Close to cocoa and Old olive.  Accessories:  HPH, Choc. poly twill ribbon, WWCs, and Star dust stickles.

Sweet Pea

sweetgirl2blog.jpg

Well I found a lot of pictures of my little sweetie when she was a baby so when I found the Sweet Pea paper I knew what I was going to use it for.  Just when I thought I may someday catch up in my scrapbooking I find all these wonderful pictures!   Oh well, there isn’t a hurry to get them done, right?  Maybe if I tell myself that I will actually believe it 😉  By the way she is now four so that is how far behind I am.

Sorry about the picture, I need to figure out how to take good pictures of scrapbook pages.

Supplies:  Cardstock:  Sage shadow, Sweet blush (Papertrey).  Nestabilities for title block and chipboard was from a boardbook kit that was clearanced, it was painted with acrylic paint.  Polka dot ribbon is from Papertrey.

Monkeying Around

I just love these colors together!   Thanks,  Lisa for posting your card on SCS using the inspiration from Kwernes blog I think I will be hooked on the color challenges every week now! 🙂 For the Technique lover’s challenge on SCS this week was Paper Tole:  You stamp your image several times and then cut out parts of the image and pop up the parts that you want to stand out.  Part of the challenge was NO FLOWERS!!  Ahhhhh  but I LOVE flowers!  Oh well, good thing I have this cute little monkey staring at me begging to be used.   The bottom layer of the cake is popped up and so it the Monkey’s head and hat.

Supplies: Stamps:  Full of life (occasions mini) and The Monkey is Stampendous.  CS:  Orchid Opulence, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper white, and Basic Black.  Accessories:  Cuttlebug embossing folder, Velvet flowers from Maya Road, Rhinestone brads, Star dust Stickles, ribbon, & WWC.  Card is 5 1/2 square.

Mojo Sketch Challenge

mojo30dahliablog.jpg

Once I saw the Mojo sketch challenge I knew it would be an easy one for me to do, this is the layout that I always tend to use for some reason.  When I was working on designing my swap cards a couple of weeks ago, every time I would make a flower, it would remind me of a lady with a fancy hat or with curlers in her hair so I had to finally make one.  I normally get all my ideas from other stampers either from their blogs or SCS but this I haven’t seen this yet so I am so happy I came up with an original idea for once 😉

Everything on the card is SU except for the 2″ circle for the face.   Supplies:  Stamps: Sincere Salutations.  CS:  Pumpkin pie, Taken with Teal, Whisper White, basic black, Purely Pomegranate, and Bali Breeze DSP.  Punches: Double Circle (for eyes), 1 3/8 Circle, Ticket corner, Marvy circle, and Word Window (for lips) I first punched through purely pomegrante then slightly moving the punch (using the negative piece) then punch again for the lips.  Accessories:  Paper piercer and Template, flower fusion flower, brads, and tempting turquoise grosgrain ribbon.

Circle Template for Journaling

I had to share this link.  I always see all the cute pages using cirles for journaling in the magazines and I always love the layouts but didn’t want to use my messy handwriting.  Creating keepsakes has templates on the website that you can download so we can use the templates for our pages!!

Two-for-one deal ;)

enjoywsc41blog.jpg

I rolled two combos into one, Beate’s sketch and SCS technique challenge from last week- Negative effect using the cuddlebug.   I used Purely Pomegranate ink on the embossing folder before running the Pretty in Pink CS through the Cuttlebug machine.  I think I could have done without the flowers along the side but those embossed circles were looking a little lonely to me.  LOL

I recieved my package of new stamps from the Free wheelin’ promotion this morning – I was so glad I waited to get the three sets I got- the FREE matching wheels are awesome!

Well,  I just checked Beate’s blog and she used the Nestabilities for her panel- too cool we had the same idea!  For those of you that don’t know,  Beate is such a talented stamper, I LOVE her work- she is a little like a celeb to me! 🙂

Supplies:  Stamps: Enjoy every moment.  CS: Purely Pomegranate, pretty in pink,  Chocolate Chip, and  Whisper White.  Accessories:  Rhinestone brads, soft subtle brads, cuttlebug embossing folder, Nestabilities, flower fusion flowers, and wide Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon.

Measurements:  Large embossed panel:  2 3/4 X3 3/4.  Sentiment panel:  3 1/2 X 1 5/8  Matting:  3 5/8 X 1 3/4
